#WAVESinRio

Every other year we meet internationally as the Mission Adventures network. This year we met in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
We are very purposeful when we pick our conference locations. Rio became the destination due to the fact that they are hosting the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016. Brazil has become the new hot spot for tourist; the world will be merging there, which creates a wonderful opportunity for those aiming to reach the world. Mission Adventures, as a whole, will be focusing outreaches on Brazil over the next three years. We couldn't imagine passing up the opportunity to reach the world through a single nation.
On average over 3 million people will attend a World Cup game; an estimated 1 million will be foreigners. The average stay of a visiting person is projected to be 10 days, that is 10 days spent going to maybe 2 games and the rest of the time spent 'vacationing'. There is a ton of potential to connect with people and share the gospel with them.

In case you didn't know, Brazilians are very passionate people. At the conference there were about 60 people, with half of them being Brazilian they greatly influenced our times of worship. They made it super easy to take that step into Gods presence and praise Him without restraint.
One of the things I loved most about the conference is that the speakers truly spent time preparing and praying about what to talk on, which was very evident.
I'm still processing everything God spoke to me, what an amazing time and impact-full time. Everything was so spot on! I walked away inspired, equipped and pumped about Mission Adventures. So much so, that I will be writing several post, focusing on the symbols used during the conference. So be keeping on a watch on my blog :)
